Crisis care and respite

Outside of tailgate warranty and hospital dumping, a significant lack of crisis care is available. This situation is concerning, as it is not only urgent but also not guaranteed safe or effective.

Our crisis care is specifically designed for individuals who have lost their staff, whose staff have fallen ill or been negligent, or those who lack funding for a care plan. Countless reasons may necessitate crisis care, but going to a hospital—or anything that resembles it—should never be one of those options.

The need for crisis care is a reality we cannot ignore. When we advocate for individuals, we prioritise checking on their needs and the quality of their care. We assess whether intervention is necessary, whether that means providing crisis accommodation, staffing support, retraining, or developing a new plan.

We aim to provide a safe and compassionate environment while we address these concerns, keeping individuals out of the dreaded hospital setting in our vibrant community.
