Direct Support Services

Whether supporting our aged care community, individuals with mental illness, or those with disabilities, we offer direct assistance through our qualified staff. This support includes personal care and help with daily living activities. We also focus on capacity building and life skills development. Our approach can be in the form of companionship or as a life coach, helping individuals navigate their daily lives.

While it is crucial to DE medicalise care and prioritise the individual, we also recognise the importance of addressing clinical needs. Our expertise ensures that health concerns are managed effectively, allowing us to prevent unnecessary complications and comorbidities.

By maintaining a supportive environment, we can focus on more meaningful pursuits, such as exploring personal dreams, finding our life purpose, and instilling meaning. Whether it’s making chocolate eggs, creating pottery, taking courses, or learning skills that can lead to successful businesses, every individual has the opportunity to thrive. However, everyone needs to be in good health—both physically and mentally—to achieve these goals and discover the fulfilling life that awaits us all.

We will never achieve this outcome if we ignore the reality of our needs. That is why this area must be both diverse and targeted. Competency is a broad term, but it must address the true diversity of what human support currently provides, what it must provide, and what it must do well. To do this, we have modernised our training to reflect that reality, and we are always open to hearing from anyone about how we can expand training to make support fit for purpose. It is essential for outcomes, competent and beneficial safeguarding, and to achieve the outcomes we all desire, which is a fulfilled life of our choosing. Our standards must meet your needs.
