How to Be a Guardian

Within the NDIS, you can be someone’s nominee. You take on important responsibilities as a substitute decision-maker under an advanced care directive or as someone’s guardian. But what does that mean? What is your role? What do you need to know to fulfil that role, and what laws govern your actions and those of others while you perform this role?

We offer training to help individuals understand these responsibilities, and we hope to assist you in developing a network of support for this demanding and often misunderstood role.
